UCLA Meal Plan Comparison

UCLA meal plans give you swipes to eat at any of UCLA's four residential dining halls. Plans come in two tiers — Regular and Premier — at three weekly meal counts: 11, 14 or 19. Meal plans are bundled into the on-campus housing contract and required for every student living in the residence halls, not just first-years: UCLA will not accept an on-campus room contract without one.

The only difference between Regular and Premier plans at the same meal count is rollover: Premier swipes carry over week to week within the quarter, Regular swipes don't. Compare all 6 options below.

How UCLA Meal Plans Work

Each swipe gets you unlimited food during one meal period (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). Plans are billed quarterly across UCLA's three-quarter academic year.

Regular plans

Regular plans reset weekly — unused swipes do not carry over — and allow one entry per meal period.

Premier plans

Premier plans differ in two ways. Unused meals carry over week to week within the same quarter, and Premier allows multiple swipes during a single meal period, so you can bring a guest, re-enter, or buy premium items. Balances reset at the start of each new quarter.
